The two characters, “Waluigi” and “Mario” used to display colour and shape theory as a visual communication to the player. Mario’s character design uses circles with no edges or sharp edges to show friendless. On the other hand Waluigi has a main colour of purple which shows that he is not trusted. This correspondences with his sharp edges to display he might have a mysterious side.

The different between using colour scheme than using shape theory to show the personality is that colour scheme/ colour theory isn’t universal to everyone, However shape theory is universal for people that understand how it relates to characters personality.

In my opinion, I believe that shape theory the best universal tool for visual communication for characters out of my examples. For Mario Karts audience may include children, This might cause a problem for the colour theory method for characters as children might not understand which colour links with which what feeling.
