Visual Cues | Use of lights


Using visual within a game to show the player useful information without explicit detail.

We can show players different things with the use of lights; Easter Eggs and different routes the player could take could be show with green lights an example. We use this method of giving the player visual cues because it makes them focus on what is around them instead of reading text.


Typical colour combinations


Combination within colours to express different feelings and meaning to UI or Environmental settings. Such as creating an depressing scene if a main character dies in the game story could use grey and black to show death and sad to give the effect to the player, making them feel connected with the characters in the game.
