Secondary and Primary Research Methods
The use of Interviews are a great example for method of research, however the time it takes to setup an Interview may increase as people might cancel or not turn up to the appointment. However the benefit to an interview the interviewee can expand the question questionnaire are a good for a fast flood of research as an online questionnaire can be shared to anyone, locally or globally. This could save time for the individual or company.
In my opinion, I believe for a game studio could use a questionnaire as they can post of famous game forums to get reliable feedback and research quickly also it’s cheap to setup.
Secondary and Primary Research
The use of Primary Research is that it’s up to date with customer trends and customer needs; Primary Research is the use of first hand research methods, such as “Questionnaires/Surveys, Focus groups”. These methods of Primary Research are all self-done. On the other hand, Secondary Research is already done primary research that is gathered on the internet. The problem with Primary Research is that you need to go out and do it yourself. Secondary Research is quick and very cheap to do because they information can be found on the internet or government reports which are mostly free plus easy to gather data from. However the information gather could be out dated. The second problem with secondary research could be the idea you are gathering information for could be a very different subject that is displayed on the internet, such as customer needs and wants.
